The University of Alabama is known for its beautiful campus where many students make memories and create long lasting friendships and connections. Attend A Non-Sport Event
University programs host different activities and events for studentsaround apartments near the Student Center. These activities are free and open to all students. During football season, they host student tailgates and watch parties. Throughout the school year they host themed trivia nights, comedy shows, movie nights and bingo nights. Around seasonal holidays, you can enjoy weekly events like "Fright Mania" for Halloween, Fall Fest and Friendsgiving dinner before Thanksgiving break and stress and spa days during finals week.
Hang out on the Quad
In the center of the campus, the Quad has become the perfect place to do many activities. Many students like to hang out with friends, take pictures by Denny Chimes, host events, do outdoor activities like volleyball, listen to music, bring pets, and just relax on a blanket in the grass. During football season, it is a huge tradition to tailgate on the quad to enjoy tasty food, drinks and enjoy the UA experience!
Relax at the Riverwalk
Across the street from the Presidential dormitory on UA campus, is Tuscaloosa's Riverwalk. It is known for its beautiful scenery. Just like the quad, many students go to the Riverwalk to study and hang out with friends and family. It has become the perfect place to take pictures and make memories. It is a wonderful place to soak up the sun and relax on the grass. Students also like to walk down the trail and enjoy nature's beauty. It is the best place to get a magnificent view of the sun setting.
Take a Dip in the Lakes
During the summer, students go down to Lake Nichol or Lake Tuscaloosa for more outdoor activities. Paddleboard rentals range from $10-$100 depending on how big your group is and how long you plan to rent the paddleboards. Overall, it is a great area to swim and cool off from the Alabama heat.
Strike out at Bowlero
Outside of campus, many students like to go to Bowlero, a bowling alley and sports bar to bowl, eat, play arcade games, pool, and ping pong. Throughout the week and on the weekends, they provide deals for college students. It has become one of the few spots to watch sports and to relax from schoolwork outside of UA off-campus housing. 
Explore The Strip and Downtown Tuscaloosa
The strip is centered along apartments near University Boulevard, near the UAapartments Wickford Apartments, HERE Tuscaloosa and Hub Tuscaloosa. The Strip consists of different restaurants and bars, and it is the hot spot for college students. Many students love to go to Rounders, Galettes, and Twelve25 to socialize and grab a drink. The strip is the place to go for great music and to have an exciting time.
On the same road as The Strip there are more restaurants, bars, and stores. The Tuscaloosa Amphitheateris extremely popular amongst UA students. All year-round various artists come to perform and host other events in the theater. The Amphitheater's most popular event is the annual ice rink during the winter season. Loosa Brews is a popular brewery amongst students and the local community. They have arcade games, ping pong, and an outdoor .
